Why cant we have something like this in India??

absolutely agreed ! http://www.timesunion.com/living/article/Fashion-show-shines-spotlight-on-Ukraine-disabled-3735289.php#photo-3239067
when will Indian fashion designers & boutiques as well as shops will hv dresses suitable n yet well-fashioned for disabled women, especially wheelchair-ridden women for whom odd dress-sizes & physical limitations r biggest obstacles while using dresses....even specially-got-them-sewn dresses by tailors need too much alterations as for readymade dresses...
dress-shopping is really a tiresome part for the same reasons. [though i love shopping].Just complaining won't help, we Indian disabled & wheelchair-ridden women need to contact designers+boutiques+shops to make them aware of our need & convince them to create & sell dresses for disabled women like us.

this is what i say- "i'm not born for inspiring!'

absolutely right !! i hv recently read this article which has expressed same thoughts by another disabled person what i also feel n believe. i hate this word called 'inspiration'. disabled ppl hv their own problems 2 deal with n own life 2 live, their careers r ambitious bcoz they hv all feelings like other normal' ppl & NOT FOR INSPIRING OTHERS ! some 'normal' friends, including some disabled friends too will not agree 2 this but this is true !
hv a read !-

the hammering of  "u r so inspiring!" is a trap in which once u get in u start believing in it & stop real progress of urself just bcoz u r 'too great' to improve anymore...
i myself [politely or if needed agressively] make the peopl take back the words "u r inspiring/great!" which they say about me. i'm happy my rejection of accepting these words lead me 2 stay normal those who say "u r so inspiring!" shoud realy stay with us neutrally atleast for a day & then they will understand what  how we do things daily, that time they'll understand how hollow & insulting their words "u r so inspiring!" are..... the acts r too inevitable 2 run away. don't just say"u r so inspiring!" 2 disabled, they already face too much. ur words of praise can't change our condition n these words r neither encouraging 4 us. It's BITTER YET TRUE...
